The Edge of Time - The Producer's Cut (Alp. 5.1 Released)

CHANGELOG (Alpha 5.1)
  • A preview of Episode 3's maps is now included (E3M1, E3M2 and E3SM1)
  • New (and rather convenient) keybinds have been added for the inventory items
  • The Archvile has been slightly buffed and tweaked in the following ways
    • His movement speed has been increased from 16 to 20 (and he now has a blur trail when moving)
    • He is now slightly taller than his Vanilla incarnation (without any actual tweaks to his hitbox)
    • He now performs his vanilla attack more often than his flame-line attack (and his flame line attack is faster)
  • breakable grass windows have been retroactively added to episode 1
  • the Seeker Cannon has been buffed in the following ways
    • It now does slightly more damage
    • and it's explosions now have a damage radius of 64 units, making it ideal for dealing with huge crowds of weak enemies
  • The Spider Mastermind now uses tracers instead of hitscans
  • The Were-Dragon now has a brief delay before it deploys it Fire Breath attack
  • Gargoyles and Afrits now have a visible smoke trail on their fireballs
  • Weapon Selection Priority has been fixed for all weapons. No more swapping to the Eye of Ahriman when you still have ammo for other weapons
  • Speaking of which, The Eye of Ahriman's Soul Essence ammo capacity has been doubled from 30 to 60
overall a rather hefty list of changes. Why don't you give the newest revision a whirl?

I was hoping for some feedback by now. Anyways here's another revision:

CHANGELOG (Alpha 5.3)
  • Tweaked the polish on the Revenant's and Wight's missile code
  • Improved the treasure drops on the Lost Soul, the Archvile and a few other monsters
  • Changed the Bronze Coins from giving +1 to +25 Score
  • Added Copper Coins that give +1 Score to the droplist of certain lower tier enemies
  • Silver and Bronze coloured treasures now have their own Pickup Flashes
  • Treasure dropped by enemies now last for only a brief amount of time before
    flickering out of existance
  • The Frost Ovum now has a unique bounce and death sound
  • Added functional rain to both E1M1 and E3M1, with better sprites from Duke Nukem 3D
  • Improved on the breakable glass windows in E1M1 and E1M4
  • The Pain Elemental will now occasionally spit out two Lost Souls instead of one
  • Added a somewhat iffy Leap attack to the Demon (iffy in that it currently does
    no damage, can anyone lend me a hand in figuring out why?)
  • changed the Spectre's and Nightmare Demon's sprites to IMX's Eyeless demon
  • Spectre's and Nightmare Demon's now briefly become fully visible when attacking
  • Nerf the Mini-Cyberdemon by taking it's Grenade attacks away, leaving it with
    only Rockets
  • The Nailborg's nail grenades now beep and flash red for an extended period of
    time before exploding
  • Prelimary work has been undertaken on completely overhauling the Berserk replacement,
    it is now "Blade Power", which currently as of this time still does what the previous
    Berserksphere did but has it's graphic and pickup sound changed
  • Further visual improvements have made on the tracers fired by the Former
    Humans, Former Sargents, etc

A quick update on my part, this revision does the following:

CHANGELOG (Alpha 5.1 Revision 1)
  • Fixed the missing E2M1 bug
  • Fixed an oversight on my part where E3M1 was still an older version, rather than the new one with rain outside
  • Introducing the newly overhauled HUD.

My mod might be leaving the alpha phase soon and entering the beta phase and I figured it would be a good idea to share my todo list/potential plans with everyone in here and maybe see what you all think

Huge update incoming for my mod, and it's one hell of an update.

CHANGELOG (Alpha 5.9)
  • Overhauled E2's Cyberdemon Lord boss
  • Added boss health meters to E1 and E2's bosses,
    boss health meter code borrowed from Jimmy; with permission.
  • Polished the pickup messages for everything
  • Overhauled the Markman's Rifle
  • Slightly overhauled the Officer's Pistol
  • Slightly overhauled the Submachine Gun
  • The ammo region of the non-fullscreen statusbar will now show "ammo in clip" and total ammo when the Pistol and Markman's Rifle is selected
  • Renamed the Seeker Cannon to the Missile Launcher
    • New sprites for the Missile Launcher courtesy of SmarineS
    • Added the ability to swap between Seeker Missile, DUMB Missile and
      Grenade Launcher mode on the Missile Launcher
  • Replaced the pulse rifle with the new Argent Channeler, A weapon with
    three toggleable firemodes and a new pickup sprite by Sargent Shivers
    • Blue Argent Mode: starts out firing hitscan then it gets faster and
      starts spewing plasma balls as you hold down the fire button, great for
      mowing down crowds!
    • Green Argent Mode: fires a green plasma ball that splits into smaller
      bouncing plasma balls on impact. Good for tight clusters of foes.
    • Red Argent Mode: fires a single bouncing ball of plasma that explodes
      on impact with walls, floors and enemies until it stops bouncing, ideal
      for dealing with tough foes around corners
  • Cell Ammo has been replaced with Argent Cell Ammo
  • Added the Literal Chaos Device as a new inventory item
  • Replaced the Morph Ovum's sprites with it's original sprites from
    Heretic
  • Added the Egg of Pojo, a rare inventory item that will allow the
    player to become a deadly, golden fire breathing chicken for 45 seconds
  • Overhauled and replaced most the health item pickup sprites (again)
  • The berserk replacement, Blade Power is now implemented. It does the
    following
    • Gives 100 HP, without cap like the soulsphere
    • Doubles the machete's damage and swing speed for the rest of the map
      it's found on
  • The Unwilling will now drop health and armour bonuses when killed
  • Vanilla switches now have their own custom sounds
  • Improvements and tweaks of all sorts have been added to earlier maps
  • A pair of new levels has been added to episode two and three, bringing the
    total number of maps to 19.

Cool mod! I like the gameplay changes, it feels very arcadey. I'm stuck on E2M2 though, how do you get up to the yellow key?

Also, I don't understand the purpose of the rad suits. There were some underwater, yet they didn't increase my breath, and there were some in lava, yet it still hurt me. Bugged?

The Rad suit and nightvision googles are inventory items, you'll need to bind keys to use 'em.

Bug report: Weapon pickups fill up the loaded mag aswell as the reserve ammo.

@DabbingSquidward: Thank you, I have already fixed it. Expect the next alpha or beta release to not have the problem you mentioned.
