Okay, it's taking forever but I'm going to leak a little bit of my project of my game The Killing Joke. This game does not feature much in the way of gameplay modification, but everything else is planned to be completely new - new story, characters, monsters, weapons, items, powerups, sounds, music, etc.

The synopsis:
All you can remember is driving to work and having a car accident. You have awoken in a strange world filled with candy trees, blue grass and pink skies... and CLOWNS. And for some reason, these clowns want to kill you. They don't even bleed red. They bleed multicoloured skittles. Where are you?! Your only objective - survive - get back to reality - find out what the Hell happened and how you got here... wherever here is. Perhaps its no accident you're here...

The game is a massive WIP and I'm looking for sprite artists and level designers to help me complete this. I do have a few code errors also, for example, I want the merchants to take currency for the items you buy - they currently give it away for free. And a few other bits. But I do have a finished, working demo.

UPDATE: Current Level Development Status

Level 1: Where Am I? (complete)
Level 2: The Devil's Fairground (complete)
Level 3: The Nursery (currently in construction)

UPDATE:
Done a lot of work on this the last couple of days. Thanks to all the people that helped me here, because with your help, I now have a working CURRENCY! Various different coloured bubbles of different values which you're going to need, because I've also created the new NPC Bilker The Clown who is going to play the role of a complete pest, blocking entrance to doors etc and only giving you keys to locks etc for a ton of bubbles. He's basically Spyro the Dragon's Moneybags, but in the DOOM engine. And a clown.

Level 3 (nursery) is still in progress also.

Loving the music, and anything with clowns is gonna be creepy AF. Keep up the good work.

This looks promising. To my knowledge, there aren't that many horror games themed around clowns. The title did confuse me a little though - as I came in here expecting this to have something to do with Batman. Guess not.

Jeez, i thought spiders could be scary like in Aracnocide but this has just the potential to be solid and fun at the same time.

My sugestion, although i know how hard is to persist on working in something, is to use some weapons that look like they would come from evil clowns, like a acid spitting flower, explosive jelly beans, those "BANG!" revolvers with flags (with the potential chance of a big handcannon blast), toy boxes bombs, poisonous gas baloons... you name it.
Oh yeah, a trusty shotty too.
Two things i must say is that

First: I'm keeping eyes on this.

Second: i'm not good at acs, but whatever i could do to help... :)

Some time last year, I actually thought about making a survival horror game where you fight clowns - and I had this idea of the "BANG!" revolver serving as a decoy weapon among a range of ordinary guns. The idea is that the player would pick it up, mistaking it for a Resident Evil-style magnum, only for the gun to shoot out a harmless flag and potentially leave you in a dangerous situation with your pants down.

Hidden Hands, I'm not sure if you're aiming to disempower or troll the player as much as I was planning with my game concept - but if you want to use that idea then go ahead. :)

Neat mod there Hidden Hands, although, I would like to share those carousel horses with you. :) 'Cause I have my own amusement park level in the works with a carousel that you can actually ride on!. And of course, a little surprise happens at the end of the ride!. :shock:

Thank you everyone, glad you're enjoying it so far. It's a lot of work as I've done all you see in that demo single handedly, as I have no team. I appreciate the offers of help though - things I really need to get things moving I'll update in this thread shortly.

Would you share your secret on how you got the horses to spin round? I've had a bit of trouble coding that in the demo (as you can see, they are static). Yes, I am not against sharing the horses with you. I have variations in different colours, too.

Sounds great - what do you specialise in? I'm sure there's something you could help with if you wanted too. As I said, I'm a one man team currently so all help is welcome.

Well, i'm a spriter. I suck at ACS, but i think i can wrap somehing up on decorate. :)

There's some weapon packs i've had and one of them had a "jelly bean launcher". If i get to find that out again i can ask on the boards who made it. ;)

Sounds fantastic - would you be interested in spriting some of my more "advanced" looking enemies? I have a floating clown head that needs rotations and few other cleanups that I really want to put in the game. Also, BonBon the clown needs rotations, if you are interested? I could certainly use some Decorate to go with them also.

They are custom sprites I created.

Do you suppose you can send me them (along with DECORATE code, etc. since they're sprites) via PM?. I would really, really like to check them out and see what they are like and how to use them.
