I'd also highly suggest posting your project on https://itch.io/ - they have a very forgiving setup, especially for newcomers and small projects, where you can either set a minimum price, or "pay what you want." Itch takes 10% and the rest is yours. There's no fees, no frameworks, no DRM, no license restrictions, and you can customize the page for your game however you want.

But right now I want to ask you to add user-defined tags to the game on Steam.
It's important that you add already existing user-defined tags on Steam (see pic), because the more people add them, the more likely the game shows up in search and related games! You can also add new tags, e.g "Doom", "GZDoom", etc.
