Nice, glad to see some news, those features look awesome. Can't wait to pimp my guns™

I'm very excited for more Ashes 2063.

I just realized that the only thing you seem to be using is the id tech engine. Witch is open source. There is a game called freedoom phase one and two, why dont you release this as a standalone game, that doesn't need doom wads?

I just tried it out with freedoom phase 2. It works fine. What's the problem here? They DID release it as a mod that doesn't need doom wads.

I guess the distinction would be making Ashes an IWAD unto itself so it doesn't need even FreeDoom. Wouldn't be too hard.

I would buy a Steam version of Ashes 2063 in a heartbeat, and copies for my friends, even if it was also available for free.

To my knowledge, this is the place to go for Ashes info and updates right now.
Though, my Twitter is always free to follow and I do on the occasion post something Ashes related. Sometimes. :P @Primeval

Strange. I recently played it and never happened before. The knife usually goes back after you use it once or more. Update your GZDoom to v4.3.3, perhaps?

I haven't seen this problem yet. Might be related to an older version, although the new build I'm working on limits the bootknife to an altfire function built in to each weapon, rather than a hacky completely separate weapon it uses in the release build.

I'll have to add this to the "stuff to put in the remastered edition" list.

Oh, this thread isn't dead yet, either. I'm stuck working on some spriting stuff and sound work, bit boring but whatever, but I am still working away.

Haha, don't worry. People who like to get all the secrets will find some of this stuff a little quicker, but everyone will have the full arsenal by the end of the episode.

I might add a super secret surprise though, but it won't be anything vastly different than what you'll already have.
