Plot twist: The Circle of Evil worships a giant sentient super cow hellbent on world domination. He's the final boss.

Cow planet. Delve deep into the cow, cue red hell/guts textures.

Well the Square world's moon is made of cheese. So the cows are probably some sort of super-advanced ancient aliens, with a non-geometry-based biology and the ability to craft gigantic space stations out of their own bodily fluids. Basically, cows are the Great Old Ones of the Square world.

Anyone want Square's face staring at you on your desktop? What am I saying; of course you do.

I should clean that face up one of these days. But the nostalgia, man!
I remember seeing the original "babyface" Square as this project was in its infancy and thinking, "hey, this might be cool". And then coolface Square came to be in about 10 minutes. Wonky eyeballs and lines galore. Carrot cigar's a nod to the original design. No polish at all, really. Suddenly it was adopted as the title pic.

High-tier grunt. Dodges projectiles to some degree and wields a small grenade launcher. Nasty.

Likes: Spending time on Circlenet forums. Grooming his beard. Looking cool in the mirror.
Dislikes: Cows. Square. Fighting fair. Not having his glasses on.

He'll leap out of the shadows to zap you with his cattle prod. That thing's got some punch. It'll stun you for a brief moment and send you reeling, allowing other enemies to do damage to you.
Like the troll he is, he appears and disappears very quickly, leaving you with a sense of anger and confusion.

I love it! it seems like the game you'd get in a breakfast cereal, really hope this will go beyond Doom someday and have its own franchise.
oh and the enemy death sequences are so satisfying
