I decided to start messing around today, and I created this forest map. I will be able to produce something for you guys to play relatively soon.

Oh Yes!
Hey, this aerial view reminds me the beta versions of slender :D
Hopefully this map'll be easier to move around, since it's not a small house. :)

I'm looking foward to play it!

Here's a screen shot of the forest. The foliage is randomized, so each time the layout will be different.

My only concern about a map at this size is that it there's a chance that it can turn out boring real quick. I mean, what happens if you spawn at one side of the map and Jason by the other side? Would you wander aimlessly until you reach the enemy?

I've been expanding upon the map a lot. I've added cabins and crystal lake in the middle. I will also make a cave and other points of interest. I will have it so you can travel in between maps to access the inside of those locations. All the while Jason will relentless attack you; die and return. I will also have him not be a bullet sponge. He'll have about 900 hp; but he will come back fully restored. You will only be able to truly kill him in the final battle.

The custom weapons of Jason's Doom mod just aren't like the guns we love and cherish.
Crappy Jason's Doom weapons
Cool Brutal Doom weapons
"OH THE WEAPONS ARE DIFFERENT SO THEY SUCK"
"THEY'RE SO SCARCE I DON'T HAVE GODLY POWER ALL THE TIME"

I really hate this guy.
I made this video. I didn't mean that the weapons are a bad job. I made the video thinking about for casual doom and/or old 8-bit game players that, usually, aren't much into technical details. Otherwise, I woudn't bother to record a small video tutorial teaching how to run both mods together. For me, the weapons are supposed to "suck" and be "crappy" so the map gets more challenging (using BD's weapons was pretty fun but easy), so they are perfect in this sense.

I just added an annotation in the video trying to clearify this question. It didn't cross my mind that it could sound that I was bashing Kontra Kommando's work, which I liked very much and I don't want to disencourage him on making new versions at all.

I was playing this on VR, and it is virtually impossible to beat.

Nevertheless, it was very terrifying...

I wish I had spent more time trying to expand on this mod. Frankly, I forgot a lot when it comes to modding, since I haven't done it in years.

Nevertheless, I would love to see this become something more.

I am throwing it out there, if anyone wants to make a Friday the 13th NES-style game as a FPS, feel free to use this as a base for it.

We already have a template to go by, for how the map show go.

I'd image using the Hexen teleportation to other levels feature to "enter" the cabins:
