Instead of making thread after thread of unused monsters and bosses I'm going to just have a log of what I do here.

Here's the next wacky boss I've made. Was created for a WAD Wario is making for skulltag.

Note: Medusa doesn't come with a test map so just summon "medusaboss" in a nice area.

She has 3 attacks. One is by firing arrows at you. Arrows that hurt. The second is spawning a bunch of snakes to come and bite your ass. And lastly, you guessed it, she turns you to stone. But only if you're up close!

I have a regular enemy version of her too, but I'm going to use it for something eventually.

Hey Cutty, in the new resauce monster wad, the IDDQD Marine is a Falcon Punch revenant that is active at the start. Might want to fix that.

The Golem Rider is a sort of boss monster who attacks like the werebulls from serious sam. He charges over enemies and sends them sky high. Summon the "golemrider" in a nice open area to check him out. It's hilarious putting notarget on and watching bots getting ran over by him :P

I will make a weaker version for the wad I'm planning slowwwly.

He he, funny (and cool). It seems to be a player specific attack though so summoning a friendly one didn't have him running around throwing imps and demons into the air, which was a little disappointing.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that. Like medusa's stone attack, it gives the player inventory which causes him to fly up and take damage. Monsters don't process the Pickup state though it seems.

Actually... IS the pickup state ignored with monsters? The way it works is that it spawns an actor in front of the golem which uses limited ranged A_LookEx to check if the player is close, and if he is the See state is called which uses A_GiveToTarget to give the player an inventory item that thrusts him in the air and damages him...

Now if the monster is summoned a friendly, the checks he spawns WON'T be spawned as friendly will they? So maybe it DOES work... I guess I'll have to check it out :geek:

Why can't you use A_GiveToTarget directly on the golem?
