After far, far too long of a wait, it's time to 'unveil' this puppy for good...

Many of you recall the short demo release a few years back, but in case you don't or need a refresher, allow me to elaborate. TurboCharged ARCADE! is an ultra-screwy wad designed with wacky gameplay and humor in mind. Levels are short, sharp, freely-selectable (arcade-style), and run at twice the speed of normal Doom! Here's a few quick previews, for justice:

The demo proved to be a hit, even co-winning the Mockaward in 2006's 13th annual Cacowards. However, its final scope proved to be far too much for one man to handle: a hundred-plus (!) maps, spanning ten different gameplay styles with unique abilities. So, what's a guy to do about it?

TurboCharged ARCADE! is now officially in "open development". Simply put, I'm asking for community involvement here. I can't get all the maps done myself, and I've already recieved quite a bit of feedback so far (and a map or two), so why not extend the invitation to the entire community? If you haven't already, check out the TcA Demo to get a feel of the wad, and if you're interested in contributing, look no further.

Visit the official TcA Forums (yay invision) to get started -- there's project outlines, submission guidelines, and just about everything you need to get involved. Registration is not required to view the forum, so take a look at the stickies if you're curious or just start here. Put those thinking caps on and let the zaniness roll!

The forums are a bit sparse at the moment, but don't be afraid to add some content! Things are still a bit "under-construction-y", so if anything's broken or otherwise not satisfactory, let me know!

As for this thread, feel free to voice... well, anything really. Here's to hoping this project finally gets off the ground. ;P

That's a really interesting project, although i'm already working on the "Ten" Community Project, so i'm busy...but if i find some spare time, maybe i could make something... :wink:
