Nash's Gore Mod

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Nash's Gore Mod

Post by Nash »

http://nash.wanzafran.com/doomstuff/nashgore.zip

Work-in-progress of something I've been fooling around with.

Basically, it started out as an attempt to emulate the blood effects found in the games Blood and Shadow Warrior. While I haven't really achieved them yet (here's keeping my fingers crossed on this, this and this to be implemented), what's in now is a bunch of crazy blood and gore effects which'll do for now.

This isn't finished yet! I'll be adding and changing a lot of stuff soon because this was kind of put together hastily. It's very unorganized and most of what's in it are experiments...

Ack, stupid me loading everything in Gzdoom...

In any case, so far so good. But the blood spray looks a bit uniform. Any way you could vary it a little bit more?

I'll draw more 3 more sets of blood sprays and have them pick 1 out of 4 sets.

Thanks for the feedback...

It's not finished yet but yeah, you may... just credit me.

EDIT: I don't play Skulltag but I guess it won't work if Skulltag isn't up to date with ZDoom 2.1.5's source code.

Yay attention!

In the version on my hard disk, I got rid of all the borrowed Blood sprites and drew my own. The gibbed monsters have their own set of gibbed pieces.

I'm also working on gibbable bodies. They work, except that they don't get crushed under ceilings because technically, they aren't dead bodies anymore. :/ I'm working on that one...
