Minor nitpick: Automap follow mode behavior

Post by CtrlAltDestroy »

I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the bugfixing forum, so I tossed a coin.

I've noticed that if you have map rotation enabled, and disable follow mode, the automap acts all strange. You can still fully control the character using the back/forward/strafe keys (WASD) and the center point seems to wander off on its own in some unpredictable pattern as you do so.

I suggest this: You should lose the ability to move your character when follow mode is off (to avoid confusion).

While in follow mode, if automap roation is enabled, you should be able to rotate the map with the mouse around the center point (not the character.)

You should also be able to use the WASD keys to pan around the map.

Maybe also hotkey zooming in and out to the mouse wheel?

That's all.
