Kill [object(s)]

Post by Bashe »

I think it would be a good idea to have the "kill" command to do more than kill the player or kill the monsters. I'm thinking of having any class considered a monster be able to kill seperately, like "kill demon" would kill all the demons. I just don't like having to kill a certain type of monster knowing that I can only kill myself or all of them.

This wouldn't be very useful, but it's an idea of mine...

Right. And the player shouldn't die when you mistype. Only when you type 'kill' or 'kill player'.

Yes. That is very annoying to type "kill monsters" and accidentally slip and then hit enter and then see yourself blow up, especially after typing in a bunch of console commands previously.

I good place to use would be map32 when testing out a Cyberdemon replacement, but don't want to deal with the nazis, you could just type "kill wolfensteinss" and that would be that. You could test your Cyberdemon without the distraction of the nazis.

I bind "kill monsters" to m and "kill" to k.

Don't need to worry about typos. :)
