Blood Brightness

Post by Apothem »

Is there a possibility of there being an option to adjust it like in skulltag?

I don't think so, but dosn't it just make the blood decals brighter? I'm not sure.....

Instead of blood brightness, i think blood colour would be a nicer thing to be able change.

Blood decals can already be made bright too - with an altered decaldef.

But only the red ones. If you specify a blood color the value is overridden.

I'd say that's something that should be added then. For example, I can easily see someone wanting to create a monster that generates bright green splats of goo on the wall when you shoot it.

Then you have to give it bright green blood. The blood decals are the same color as the blood sprites but with less brightness. That is unavoidable because otherwise it won't look right.

Ah, right. I misunderstood. So bright green blooded enemies are already possible.

well, the only reason why i suggested this is simply because, sometimes it just gets in the way of playing most of the time, and while it is a cool effect, it really should be an option... Speaking of which, i dont really remember this being on vanilla doom anyway... :?
