Message drafts

Postby Darkcrafter » Tue Dec 10, 2019 8:41 am

I'd like to suggest for forum to have message drafts, as I often lose what I composed for so long after closing a god damn tab in my browser.

I think what you're suggesting here is auto-saving drafts. With the limitations of the current forum system that simply is not possible.

Isn't this something fixable with browser extensions? Like this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... rea-cache/
(never used it myself)

Okay so I just tried that button expecting to have my flow broken with the page refreshing.

It broke my flow alright... and only gave me options to go to the thread or to the forum.

I had to go into my account options to find the draft.

...and then hit Submit and had it turn out to just save the draft in the save drafts, leaving me to copypaste into the usual quick reply field and now I will hit Submit again here and presumably manually delete that draft.

I guess the old "keep a plaintext editor open in a background window" is still the way to go...

If you have any drafts saved, it'll show a "Load draft" button in the full editor.
