The speed of the Hexen and Heretic scrollers
I know this came up several times and Randy dismissed it each time it was reported as a bug.
So, who would like to have a compatibility option that makes these scrollers carry the player at the same speed as the texture scrolls.
The only issue I see is that these sector specials carry the player up to twice as fast as the texture scrolls so it might have some gameplay impact.
The thing for me is that this speed mismatch is totally annoying and knowing Randy's attitude about this I'd like to collect some opinions before changing it.

To me, it's quite jarring to have a conveyor belt with the belt moving at a different speed to whatever is on the conveyor. I can't think of a single reason why they should have originally been created as they are, save that it's a bug, and I see no reason now, in 2005, why we should be forced to live with this bug, with no option to correct it.

You could use Boom's scrollers which are correct. But that doesn't help with all the maps that use these specials - and the Boom specials carry everything, not just the player. I was forced to use the Hexen scrollers in the community map because I used them in a location where monster carrying was not wanted. Needless to say I was never satisfied with the result.
Why not just change the texture scrolling to match the speed that the player is currently carried. That would mean that the change would not cause any gameplay bugs in existing maps. That is, everything should play the same as it did before, only looking different. (Or is that what is being suggested?)
