Corpses all being oriented the same way make me feel really bad in an advanced port like G/Q/ZDoom.
This has been handled in Crispy Doom, a fork of Chocolate Doom, with a special case for Arch-Vile resurrected monsters not to stay mirrored.

Re: Randomly mirrored corpses and death animations
How about creating a mod with this feature instead of bringing it into the engine?

Re: Randomly mirrored corpses and death animations
Simple Mirrored Monsters adds mirrored deaths for all monsters. It supports a lot of mods.
Advanced Mirrored Monsters adds mirrored deaths and proper mirrored raise animations, proper raise animations from gibs, and some other things.

Re: Randomly mirrored corpses and death animations
So, my question should be changed to "How about using a mod with this feature?", right?
