Most people aren't interested in a "discussion" (this is really an argument) where neither side will budge.

If someone were to post a new suggestion thread dedicated to a multi-ini/custom-preset-binds feature and another suggesting that no-linear-filtering be made the starting default, would the mods be willing to close this thread?

That would probably be better. Having multiple threads for multiple issues is a lot better than multiple issues in a single thread.
