Currently, even with model interpolation turned on (gl_interpolate_model_frames), the animation is stil capped at 35 FPS. I'm requesting the model animation to interpolate according to the renderer's refresh rate.
In the case that fixing the interpolation might break visuals for previously-released projects, I propose a MODELDEF flag then. UncappedInterpolation?
