Substitute Undefined Texture

Substitute Undefined Texture
Even if it's a simple checkerboard or DB's "64 x 64 MISSING" texture, it would make prototyping maps quicker.

You misunderstand. I'm not talking about missing textures in the sense the Zdoom cannot find a texture by its name, I'm talking about scenarios where there is no name, that causes graphical glitches in the game.
Here's a pillar with three sides textured with "12345" but one side doesn't have a texture defined at all.

Cannot be done because there's countless maps which exploit missing textures in nearly any way imaginable.
