Some voices for the other character genders! The Cyborg would be easy, just take the Arachnotron's dying sound a put it as the player's dying sound!

We need better sounds than recycled Doom 2 sounds. I would put together some sounds, except I know nobody would use them.

I hate WADs that needlessly replace the monster and player sound. Most of the time I rip them out and play with the originals (as in: Doom - The way it was meant to be.)

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Period!

They're easy enough to make and games like Quake 2 onwards, UT etc can provide plenty of appropriate sounds. I'm sure quite a few people have done it already.

Female characters with male voices isn't a broken feature?

No, it's just a lack of resources. Female voices are fully supported by ZDoom - you just have to provide the data!

If Zdoom allows the feature, then there is no need for this thread. This forum is supposed to be about discussing features that Zdoom does not support.

I put together a file a while back. I think it's actually based off Zdoom 1.22 SNDINFO player sound entries, but it should work in the newest versions too. I can't remember, but I think the file inside the zip is called zvox.wad. If it is, just drop it into your zdoom directory and it will autoload. Do that, and you should have a full set of voices.
