+(NO)FACESPRITE
Similar to how FORCE(X)YBILLBOARD works, this would allow control of the 'Sprites face camera' effect, independently for what looks better at all times.
And apparently FACESPRITE itself hasn't been exported in thingdef_data (most likely since it's a 0).

Re: +(NO)FACESPRITE
Not sure about this. As the Billboard effect has a reason and why (effects) where as the 'sprites face camera' effect should be under user control at all times. Up to the developers of course, but this is my two cents.

Re: +(NO)FACESPRITE
But again, it's the same thing as the billboarding. There's some sprites that look better with it on permanently based on situation, and other sprites with it off.

Re: +(NO)FACESPRITE
What shold this override?
The orientation flags, unlike the billboarding flags are absolute, i.e. something either is a face sprite, a flat sprite or a wall sprite.

Oh. Damn.
There are times where the sprites facing the camera is undesirable and rather an eyesore, while others would very much benefit this ability.

Re: +(NO)FACESPRITE
...Okay, perhaps FACESPRITE is something I'm misinterpreting.
I would like two flags for actors, both of them ignoring the 'Sprites Face Camera' option.
One flag will indicate the actor should always have the sprite rotated to face the camera effect, regardless of setting.
The other flag will indicate the opposite -- never enable that effect.
We could just call it (NO)SPRITEFACECAMERA.

Re: +(NO)FACESPRITE
I'm going to go out on a limb - and ask for screenshots.
Show me a "before and after" with the following: Sprites that would need +FACESPRITE, and sprites that would need +NOFACESPRITE. So I am expecting 4 screenshots total here. And I need an explanation as to why these sprites are an atrocity to nature as they are, being left to user preference.
Instead of arguing this - let's just make your case, and if the answer is still no after you do this, I hope you can respect that.

Re: +(NO)FACESPRITE
Sure, let me just go through and find one of those top-down mods, wherever the hell they're at again...
