[No] Chat while in menus

ah yes, this is something i loved in legacy, but pisses me off in zdoom..

basically, i'm requesting that you make it possible to see the chat while your in the menu...

I'm not sure, but i think that this would require 16/24/32 but colour, but I don't know...

It wouldn't require a high bit depth.

It's an idea, and might not be hard to do.

Why would it require 16/24/32 bit depth color? I can imagine it working fine in 8 bit.
