"Translation" for Colorization

Now, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this but if there is something I could see this have potential is for applying custom translations. One thing I'm thinking of is changing some of the blood colors on the walls on the go to blue, just like how Translations can be applied to actors with A_SetTranslation, so could it be done this way?

If so, it'd allow me to apply customized effects to textures that aren't part of Doom's original set, or for maps like Eviternity which have their own textures and abstain from using just about any stock doom textures (last I checked).
