So between shadowmaps and per pixel lighting on models with dynamic lights, GZDoom lighting is better than ever! But all these improvements highlight one problem; models don't have smooth transitions between sector lighting. See video to see what I mean.
Is there any way to fix this?

AFAIK, this works for scenery models but not for HUD models as they are not part of the "level geometry and lightning" but only for the point actor which is the player.

You could base the HUD model's lighting on what parts of the player's hitbox are in the sector.
