Hey Guys,
I encountered the problem, that wad files taken from Games on the Commodore AMIGA cannot be opened with SLADE. Where is the difference between wad files from NTFS and Wad files from AFS?
Doom clones often have Wad files.
Any idea Anybody?

Okay, your biggest problem is that, even if they call their data files "WAD", they're not necessarily in the Doom WAD format. What game are you trying to open?

I am currently checking some game archives for having wad files eg. Gloom Deluxe, Alien 3, Alien Breed 3D 1 and 2, Nemac IV and some more "Doom Clones" I have to check.
The original free demo of Doom (EP. 1-9) for the amiga OS has its wad file of course, but cannot be opened, too.
I was hoping to get some music, sprites and textures.....maybe even maps.....
I think some nice remakes of these games would be cool, for they had at least some potential....

As wildweasel said; just because they're wad files does not mean they're necessarily in the Doom WAD format. Amiga might be using a heavily modified version of the wad file format that SLADE doesn't know about.

And that doesn't even take into account that the image and sound formats are like nothing that is on PC, because Amiga's video hardware works so differently from what IBM-compatibles were using at the time.
