About sound environment reverbs and portals

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum.

In order to avoid future compatibility issues with a map I'm working on I would just like something clarified.
I have discovered that sound reverbs (Classes:SoundEnvironment) don't travel through static portals and I'm not sure at all if that's intentional or a bug.

Personally, I don't mind. Just wanted to clear this up.

It might be a bug. Having a similar problem myself with a 3D swimmable floor.

I never said it was a problem for me. But it's hard to tell if it's intentional or not.
