Cutscenes?

Post by MrToots »

Is it possible to have a small video credence play inbetween levels
Nothing to large it would be only a few seconds long to maybe 30 seconds at max and will consist of still frames with voice work for the characters
I know you can do weird stuff with cameras but that always looked off

I don't really need a step by step guide or anything just to know if it's possible
I saw that it is possible to skip the end screen between maps so if I can trigger an MP4 instead then I'd be set

ZDoom does not currently have support for any video formats. If it's just still frames and voice work, what's to stop you from displaying said still frames with a script? (And wouldn't that end up being smaller for filesize in the end?)

An ok thanks
I figured I'd have to do some kind of trickery, just wondered if it was possible

No trickery, you just have to manually :animate: it using a script. Thing HudMessage could do.
