Doom 64 monsters spawn in the air and drop down

Doom 64 monsters spawn in the air and drop down

How can I emulate this effect in my game? Doom 64 has demons that literally spawn into a room out the air and drop into the area and attack. This looks so effective and I want to be able to do this myself for my own game.

Can someone advise me on how to go about this?

For reference of what I'm talking about I've supplied a video i put together. See it below.

You could try placing a MapSpot at a higher Z position from the sector and try spawning enemies there normally.

I'm going to give that a go now. Thank you! Any idea or tips for emulating the doom 64 'fade in' effect doom 64 uses?

You can check out the "Ultimate Simplicity" mod, which managed to do this via ACS.
