Mapinfo issue

Postby FANADICALCOWHEAD » Wed Feb 21, 2018 10:50 am

Good day everyone, my very old project which I seek to resume has encountered a problem that I have not been able to resolve. Upon startup I get this message.
Code: Select allExpand view
Execution could not continue.

Script error, "DSD3OGLP.pk3:ogl13fix.wad:MAPINFO" line 6:
MAPINFO option 'fogdensity' requires the new MAPINFO format

I presume my way of doing things is somehow out-dated, is there any quick fix to this mapinfo issue?
Code: Select allExpand view
map map13 swamp
next map14
music d_Doom2
sky1 bluet 0
Outsidefog 002233
fogdensity 512 (Line 6 is here)

Map Map16 AQA
Next Map17
Music D_Dead2
Sky1 Reef 0
Outsidefog 00BFFF

Learn about the new format here. You can find a couple of examples here.

In case that's just a small snippet of a much larger MAPINFO, Graf wrote a syntax converter to translate old-format MAPINFO to the new format. It's available on the ZDoom Download page, so perhaps that's of use.
