What damage return

AbsorbDamage (int damage, Name damageType, out int newdamage)
I mean, it return damage that aplly directly to health or first to armor than to health? Try make indestructible armor for monster that depending of damage and damagetype or simply damage monster, or smeared it near closest wall or throw them. monster, into specific conditions.
Also, if it return negative damage, that damage will heal monster or there are take absolute value? And is there possibility use two armor at the same time (regular armor-power field)?
