This is a very impressive mod - JC Denton as a female player, with fully voiced lines. Even all NPCs dialogs' and voices (!) have been edited to change gender pronouns.

Well this originally was going to be a feature in the game but was cut (along with a lot of other stuff) in development. Rather nice somebody decided to put this back into the game.

They've even went as far as rerecording the unused/obscure dialogue like the line about giving Gunther the stealth pistol

Fortunately the modern lack of significant loading times and smooth performance makes playing Deus Ex more of a breeze. When it came out, single digit FPS was the norm for some levels and that took way more time, and it'd be near impossible to get in a good baton whack and there'd be a lot of time lost to habitual quickloading out of figuring the game out casually, and sometimes those loads took at least a minute.
