What midi card does the Bethesda port emulate?

Sounds a little like sb16 to me, not like opl2 or 3 and certainly not general midi or a soundfont.

the original levels use recordings straight off of an SC-55, all other addons use patches from the Gravis Ultrasound, as discussed in
this thread
