KFC introduces the KFConsole (yes, really)

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Is this real? If it can bake hot steaming cinnamon buns I would be all over it!

I'm interested in the specs and what games would it run. Like, as in, is it just another Linux/Windows machine, or does it have its own SDK and stuff. Still LOL.

According to the site (https://landing.coolermaster.com/kfconsole/) :
  • Intel Nuc 9 Extreme Compute Element
  • Hot-swappable ASUS GPU
  • Two Seagate® BarraCuda® 1TB SSD's for storage
  • And of course, the patented chicken chamber.
All this for 240 FPS on all games and support for up to 240 Hz on 4K displays.

I saw a video for this earlier and was convinced that it had to be a joke. I am honestly confused right now, if this is a joke they have certainly put in a lot of effort into it.

Kentucky Fried Console (TM) :D

Only one thing bugs my mind. The heat from the heating chamber. Computer design is trying to actually remove all the heat from the computer box. And yet here they tuck in a heater. Seems little bit a joke to me :) Of course it will be insulated, but still...

Inb4 scalpers snag it upon release and sell it for at least 5 times the price.
Anyway, here’s also a Bud Light-themed console, the BL6, with cooling system for your beer:

Wow. And that's totally an 8bitdo controller that they've put a skin on.

This KFConsole is cool and all, but can it run DOOM?

Considering the technology they've said they're using, Intel NUC, is essentially a mini-PC running Windows, hell, it could even run GZDoom.

As a individual who is currently using a NUC6i7kyk, yes. They can run GZDoom very easily.

The only problem with NUC's is heat management and power supply issues. People have ended up just sawing cutouts of the chassis of some to fit a gigantic cooling block onto them.
