## How do I go about using Git?

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

### Re: How do I go about using Git?

If you already have a local repository, linking it to a remote is very simple.

First you have to go on github.com, sign up and then create an empty repository (do not allow it to create a readme or license or anything like that, you need it completely bare).

Then open the command prompt, and type the following:
Code: Select all
cd /d c:\path\to\your\git\repositorygit remote add origin https://github.com/yourgithubname/yourreponamegit push origin --allgit push origin --tags

I've created the repository for the code and linked it to a remote. For now, I've made it private since I'm still working on adding features to it. Thanks to everyone in the thread for helping me out with this!
