If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Found it, thanks. Not quite sure why a search for "blood" in my appdata folder didn't pick it up though. I should have thought to look for a Nightdive folder. You're right, there doesn't seem to be much of interest in there though.

I'll throw my wallet on the screen as soon as the Steam version gets out, if it does.

I suppose this has all the missions and extras from the other packs, right?
Yes, the Cryptic Passage stuff is implemented as an Addon in the options menu.

Oh, thanks Kinsie!

Definetely this is a good sign, i don't want to be too optimistic, but MAYBE in a remote future we'll get the source code and, a proper source port for Blood. This is just a dream, after all. =p

This looks nifty, but I think the sequel needs a remaster/remake even more.

A lot of the game code (actors, weapons etc.) has been externalised into plaintext scripts in the KPF file (which is just a zip file, like a PK3). So if you wanna get under the hood and make Brutal Blood: Now With Even More Unfair Hitscanners, there you go.

@Enjay

I know it has been solved, but in the future I'd recommend Everything, it's a freeware tool that completely obsoletes Windows Search, it's faster and it really does find everything, I haven't looked back since :P

@Kinsie

I wish more games would do this. The only ones that come to mind right now are Doom 3, Quake 4, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Turok EX obviously and of course GZDoom :P

I wonder what isn't "proper" about this port?

Thanks, generally, I actually find the Win10 file indexing and search capabilities quite good, but they do let me down every now and again, so I'll definitely give this a try.

It does amuse me, however, that their statement that 'Everything' uses "very little system resources" is backed up by memory and disc space figures that are far higher than were available on my first PC in total. Things move on. :)

It lacks the classic horrible Build mouse movement? ;)

I missed out on playing Blood. I'll have to pick this up once it goes on sale.

Problems so far:
  • Refuses to change video mode ingame, so I had to edit the config file.
  • The Build keybind menu has always been shite. (You can't easily clear a binding, and it doesn't unbind other actions if you use the same key.)
  • Can't disable auto-run by default. Bad.
  • View pitch lock makes vertical combat (E.G. shooting down from a window) really frustrating. Might be unavoidable since it switches to the Y-sheared render mode on the fly?
Anyone know about replacing tiles in Kex yet? I really need a different crosshair...

Other than that, it's the same old kick-in-the-crotch difficult game. :P

Well i just stated that with the mod scene in my head, really. Maybe this is a start of a big throwback to the game, after all.

Not that i am really planning to create, as Kinsie said, "Brutal Blood" Or "Doom in Blood!" =p

Now this i can't disagree, i'm also part of the "BUILD Mouse haters" club.

@NeuralStunner

-For me, no matter which graphic option I changed, as soon as I hit apply changes, I got a permanent black screen. I opened the task manager with ctrl+alt+del and from there on tabbed back into the game without problems.

-To unbind a key, press the same one that's already bound. e.g. to unbind W, press W.

-There's a toggle run option in the input settings, defaults to capslock.

Hope I could help :P

All I can say from observing footage and screenshots is that I don't like how all those fire sprites get shaded down to gray when they should be fullbright...
