The articles got passed, welcome to the new Dark Middle Ages.
I am not used to all that stuff yet but what does it mean for us users exactly?

I hope you're using non-EU servers for BoA 3...Tormentor667 wrote:The articles got passed, welcome to the new Dark Middle Ages.

Still chance to protest and cause it to completely clusterfuck Brexit-style.
That said, the only thing within anyone's individual power is to stop relying on the companies that profit from this crap - wean ourselves from movies and popular music and any books less than 100 years old, unless it's being published gratis or your money is reaching the creator filtered only through non-copyright-holding middlemen (Bandcamp, Paypal, bank).
(And of that creator has stated their support for bills like these, shoot them an email explaining exactly why you're paying the absolute minimum)

If you're in the EU, get a VPN. Now. I really mean it.
TunnelBear and NordVPN are a couple good ones. Expect some sites to filter you out in order to dodge liability.

I've got NordVPN! But I think hardcore_gamer was right: they're not gonna save us.

Protesting isn't going to do anything (regardless what you believe) the governments of Europe are dominated by old farts that hate modern technology, and the internet because they either don't understand how it works, it allows for alternative thought, theories and opinions, or because they don't use it, and think "who cares?"
Then the companies are going to bounce on it, and have most likely been influencing the articles results anyway (because corruption exists and infests nearly everything, regardless of what you want to believe) so that's another factor that shoots the shaggy dog.

You don't have to tell me that, I already know! The only solution is a coup d'etat!

Enough. I will not abide such things here. This is way past the line. Calls for violence will not be tolerated.Wiw wrote:You don't have to tell me that, I already know! The only solution is a coup d'etat!
