Screwed by TortoiseGit 2.7 "upgrade"

Now you can select fonts for dialogs (Dialog 1 in settings) but i can't select any readable font on my win 8.1 computer. Seems some smart ass has changed MS Shell Dlg to MS Shell Dlg 2 (i don't know how that thing works) and now i can't select the old default font (Segoe UI), there's no system default option either and the new default is Consolas.
Any ideas besides going back to 2.6?
