I'm going to get a big projector or stacks of CRT's in my music room to run the visualizations and want to know what's the minimum cpu and gpu for running it no problems? Could I use a pentium 4? Because I'd like a retro system like that to be my side project for some fun.
And would the flashing ruin a LED or plasma tv?
Anyone familiar with the visualizations on winamp here? A ?.

I don't know about a plasma, but there is no reason it should hurt an LED. A Pentium 4 should work, but you won't be doing 4K visualizations or anything like that. I wanted to use WinAmp as my primary audio player because of visualizations, and it is so buggy and broken in Windows 10 I had to just let the idea go and return to VLC.
