Good move, in case this continues. Anyways, anyone know if these GDX's are going to fix the issues of the games and balance the gameplay, or are they just creating a 1:1 port?

I'm excited about this actually. Never played Tekwar, don't like fiddling with Dosbox, and this looks like maybe it'd fix some of the engine issues as well.

EttinGrinder also has a patch for Witchaven you use with dosbox to fix a lot of the game's bugs and design flaws.

Oooo, that looks like a really nice port! That might give me a reason to fuck with dosbox

First part of Witchhaven was not bad,it has many problems but overall was good-ish.But second part is truly awful.

It's not active though. Just one release version, and that's it.
Hopefully the author releases a new version of it.

It looks like future versions of Blood GDX will finally make it possible for modders to create and add custom items, instead of editing existing ones.

Does anyone knows if this is true?

Probably not as the point of GDX is to abstract compiled x86 assembly code directly.through Java. In another way it's not a "ugh its java" slow port one would expect either.

Apparently this author has also done a Java recreation of DukeRes. Nice.
