On the Steam page:
Devloper & Publisher: Vyacheslav Shilikhin
He's probably a Russian; they're not exactly well known for intellectual property there.

Looked at his author page and he has at least 12 games, all released about half a month apart since either June or July - a given game of his is either an FPS game, an overhead game, or a side-view platformer, and the differences between games in the same genre appear to be limited to which graphics are being used. I swear the overhead games are using RPG Maker tile sets.

Spoiler:Dead ArchVile, this is going into even worse territory.

Welp...here goes Space Trucker act II. Nash foresee the whole thing back then. Though I'm happy there is no Grezzo 2 yet for 10 bucks
RPG maker is free? If so, then those tilesets are sorta OK...I guess...

Another? Seriously?
I sincerely hope Steam gets hit with a lawsuit. Maybe then they'll learn to thoroughly check the games they let people put on their platform. ಠ_ಠ

It's not that hard to find those sprites. They are right there at the first page of your resources thread and any simple Google search like "pistol sprites" points people to ZDoom Forums. He probably found them by accident doing just that. Anyway, is there something we can do to help?
EDIT - just searched "pistol sprites" on Google and found the whole sheets he's using after scrolling down a little.

Are such things truly rampant on Steam? I had no idea! It would be fine if he gave proper credits and his stuff was free, but this is just bad! Most DooM mods have a lot more work put into them than any of this guy's games! Heh, he even has sprites from Zombies Ate my Neighbors!

A DMCA didn't stop Space Trucker...

Should probably implement some kind of system where it counts how many times a user right-click & saved as a forum image.chronoteeth wrote:the guy definitely is a lurker

What would this solve, when a single local copy is all one needs to do anything? It takes seconds to throw something into a dropbox or private imgur album.Nash wrote:Should probably implement some kind of system where it counts how many times a user right-click & saved as a forum image.
(Nevermind that it would almost certainly be called "comic book villain levels of evil" if done by anyone else. )
