As previously promised, Bethesda are throwing more freebies up on their Bethesda.net launcher to thank people for donating shitloads to charity during QuakeCon.

On the 12th of August (That's Wednesday, calendar fans!), Quake 2 will become free for 72 hours.
On the 17th of August, Quake 3 Arena will become free for 72 hours.

Thanks @Kinsie - I've always wondered what the fuss was about - it gets namechecked on Duke4 at least once a day :) At 69p for SE and free for FE I guess it's worth a gamble.

( Of course I'll need to build the Serious Engine on Linux but will try it in a Win7 VM first. )

This week's Epic stuff is Railway Empire and Where The Water Tastes Like Wine.

Remedy's humble first title, Death Rally, is now on Steam for free forever to celebrate the studio's 25th anniversary. It had previously been made free on Remedy's forums in 2009, but that version hasn't been available for a long time... until now. Bonus: It's a native Windows port, not a DOSbox emulation!
