Commander Keen Custom Map Editor
Commander Keen Custom Map Editor

I saw a custom Commander Keen 4 mod called Buried in Oblivion and it inspired me to want to make maps for the game. Problem is the map editor does not work on my computer. I bought a new computer but i don't have a USB port to transfer data yet. Is there any way to make it work on my computer? Also, is there a maximum number of maps you can have, or is it more like Doom?

And once again you are giving us absolutely no useful information with which to help you make it work.Abashi76 wrote:Problem is the map editor does not work on my computer.

Abashi, I have a GMC pickup truck that isn't running well, and I can't take it to a mechanic or buy a new one. How do I fix it?
(Also how do you buy a computer in this day and age that doesn't have a USB port)

Maybe he lives inside the Pentagon and can only use computers that have the USB ports filled with epoxy to avoid another Stuxnet. Did you ever think about that, huh? Given how old Commander Keen is, try using something like DOSBox?

Right, and it's probably a DOS based map editor which can't run on modern copies of Windows.

It wouldn't appear so:Hellser wrote:Right, and it's probably a DOS based map editor which can't run on modern copies of Windows.
So the problem remains where it's always been: that Abashi76 is just not giving us enough information about the problem.

So for how often he's come to us for his problems, why does he keep coming here if he won't supply that information?wildweasel wrote:So the problem remains where it's always been: that Abashi76 is just not giving us enough information about the problem.

Apparently all he gets is a noise. *shrug*
Abashi doesn't typically spend more than two posts on a problem he's having. And if he isn't that committed to finding a solution to his problem, there's no reason for us to be any more committed than he is.

What are the system requirements for the editor?
