So I did a thing (doom on 3DS XL)

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

I'm ready for my 6 hour flight.

I'll make a tutorial on how to do this if it's demanded enough.

Ah nice. I'd say it's probably the best game on it.

Interesting! :)

How goes it, performance-wise?

Solid 35FPS, but I did try to run the No Rest For the Living wad, that gave it a few drops.

Also want to emphasize I didn't make this, i merely got it to work. It uses a modified PrBoom engine to operate. Sound does not work, but the engine is open source, so maybe I could figure it out.

Also I agree, doom on anything makes it the best game you can get. Even the Atari Jaguar and GBA ports.

Topic misleading

Installing existing homebrew ports != you "doing a thing"

"Did" is a verb, and "thing" is ambiguous pronoun. I [installed]/(did) a [hombrew software]/(thing).

"I did" implies just action in general, not just the act of creating. "I did an errand", "I did a marathon", "I did that paperwork you asked me to do last night."

Anyways not going to argue this further, will work on the tutorial to set this up later. Been finding various builds that do support sound, but doesn't support 3ds input, so going to find this elusive build that other people seem to have that does support everything correctly.

Is this what petty arguments have come down to now?

Anyone here know the minimum requirements ZDoom needs to run? Thinking of porting ZDoom to homebrew.

I had it running at a reasonable clip on a 600 mhz Celeron with 128 mb of RAM, but it'd choke a fair bit on mods with particle effects like Diaz.
