Being professional - thus "going pro" - means earning money for what you do. Until that point, nobody cares at all - since you may as well never have bought the program in the first place anyhow.
In fact I wager piracy is a very good thing for programs like this - it builds a userbase of potential customers, instead of only depending on people willing to risk a large sum on things they might use.
Hell, I'm likely going to purchase it within the next eight months after *cough* borrowing *cough* it for over five years. That situation would never have occured had I not done so.
