I think I haven't watched anything in a year or so. Last anime I ever watched was Chaika.

I used to be a fan of anime - then Kyoto Animation happened. I haven't watched anything new for the past 2 years because it's the same stuff over and over again. Still, I like the manga art style.

Currently watching Shimoneta and Fate/Zero.

All-time favorites would be Steins;Gate (especially its brilliant dub) and Fate/stay night UBW (not the movie, or anything related to the adaptions by DEEN)

My favorite anime are shows like Fist of the North Star, Yu Yu Hakusho, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Dragon Ball, and stuff like that, but I like other stuff too. The only stuff I don't really watch is those highschool "sitcom" like shows. They're really popular, but it's not my cup of tea.

I never understood why Steins;Gate was THAT poplar. I mean it's good but not a masterpiece.
I really liked the first few episodes, when the members of the team experimented timetraveling at home, felt really cosy.
After that, it became a bit strange and uncomfortable. I guess that was the point though...

Heh, if you wanna see something uncomfortable, look up the infamous Nae scene from the original VN that they cut from the anime. (Be warned: violent)

Arf. They should have kept it. I hate when plot twists like that are cut from the anime.

I finished watching the first season of Mushishi recently. It doesn't have any overarching plotline, but I still enjoyed it. I never could get into the more mainstream anime, such as One Piece and Bleach. The pacing was always too slow to keep my interest. I also recently started watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

Now that I think about it, I've probably watched more anime than played video games in the past few months.

The problem I have with Animes like One Piece is the number of episodes. I feel like I'll never be able to ketchup.

I loved it. It felt like some episodes were unecessary though, but it was a good anime overall.

I'm pretty irritated that the only animes that are set in a modern time that focus on guns are Jormungand and Black Lagoon, both of which I loved. That's what I've observed, anyway. Any recommendations?

(I did like Code Geass aswell, btw)

I think Stella Women’s Academy focused on guns and gunfights, although after a quick look at Wikipedia it's only airsoft. Also, cute girls, that may be a put-off.
Also Upotte, where girls transform into guns or vice versa.
I haven't watched either so I cannot be of more help.
