Not an artist so not sure if these would be of any use for Doom.

Sprite lamp is a pretty fun thing to play around with, and it's bound to come in handy should you do graphics for a 2D game.

I bought this yesterday and not entirely sure why. Spriter Pro looks badass though.

Like fancy shaders in Unity, Sprite tools and graphics packs are not going to bandaid bad design/poor effort. It'll still be more @GREENLIGHTGOLD material. Optimistic to see what obvious humble customers will appear there especailly after the RPGMaker bundle's $1 influx. :)

Sprite Lamp can't even be used unless you have some decent art horsepower, since for you to get decent results out of Image this you have to draw Image all of this to get

and if your grafixguy sucks you can forget all about this shit.

It's a fancy tool for high quality projects.

I suppose you could use basic Blender models for reference. Might seem silly to use a 3D modelling program in a 2D project, but...

I've been thinking a lot about how using actual 3d models with some kind of mosaic shader that accounts for distance so you get what appears to be a dynamically generated sprite would work in a game with retro aesthetics.
