It was, actually. A while ago, AMD CPUs had bad timing / syncing between their cores back in the Windows XP / Windows Vista era. The only way to solve it was by installing a driver. Go figure.

So THAT'S why my games used to occasionally report NEGATIVE time elapsed between frames... At the time, my research led me to believe that it was a common problem with multithreading.
I may never use an AMD product again.. ....Given the chance. ($)
