Which I still haven't played. Mostly because I never bought myself a Wii. It's been on my list for a very long time.

If you've got a 3DS skip directly to MH4 Ultimate. It's easily the most feature-complete game in the series to come to Western shores so far, which is impressive considering the size of the system it's on.

Also, TF2 is still quite good for competitive players. Avoid the casuls, find a server where clan players relax on, and enjoy the skill on display. I regularly dominate using the stock rocket launcher on soldier.


Yeah, I'll agree that TF2 has a good game deep beneath---I just found the economy, Source filmmaker culture, focus on goofy backstory and other general "name-branding" compared to TFC's no-frills no-nonsense combat a bit too marketing-oriented for my tastes. So much stuff trying to get my attention at once, and more of it than I liked was non-gameplay stuff.

I didn't like that.

To be fair, that's not exactly Steams fault, but the publishers who refuse to allow for higher age ratings (is there something that forbids selling "R18"+ games is Germany?). And from what I hear, most developers usually make it very easy to patch or switch the content. Usually.

There are some age verification restrictions for 18-rated titles.
But that's only one thing. I'd really like to buy Half-Life 2, now that its price is acceptable for something that can't be resold.
But the only version available is the censored German language version. And German localizations of computer games are rarely good.

You'd get the US version if someone gifted you the game though, right?

But wasn't gifting a way to circumvent the low-violence version of Left 4 Dead 2 in Australia a while ago?
EDIT: A friend of mine here in Australia actually had the game gifted to him from a Russian friend of his, thus his copy was uncensored

Oh man, It's true isn't it. I'm sorry Graf, you forget when you live somewhere where that isn't an issue. Is there any movements there to undue any of that?

From a quick glance, this was because the Australian version was technically a different game (two different AppIDs). I'm actually surprised by this, but then that also means the rule is inconsistent between games.

That's not for 18-rated games but only applies to unrated games (which virtually do not exist anymore.)

i think i almost got Dark Souls in a Steam sale last year, but decided not to get it because apparently it was a really shitty port that didn't respond very well to keyboard configuration (and the ingame tutorials apparently still had 360 button indicators too)
