If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Hey, have some respect for a guy that can KO someone by flinging around beef franks and flapjacks. It's the absurdity factor that makes my favorite fighters, honestly.

Neither were the Ice Climbers.

No Brutal Doom moves even if they're goreless? Damn.

Anyway, would it make some sense for him to summon friendly monsters for some moves (e.g. a friendly Cacodemon to pull him back up)?

Make him a mainly-projectile fighter with a limited-time berserk mode. And give him the Soul Cube.

Even tho' I like Doom 3 and the Soul Cube, hell naw. Don't mix Classic Doomguy with D3 Doomguy.

why not? while Doom 3 certainly has its share of flaws, it's not ALL that bad and melding some of the things together can certainly work (scalliano's Threshold of Pain 2 comes to mind.)

Seconded. I'm in favor of keeping Doomguy as classic as possible. I'm even considering having him rendered and animated like the 2D sprite incarnation much like Mr. Game & Watch.

I vote for a compromise and implementing his Quake III incarnation.

i'd buy a small statue of that, honestly. i was surprised that the 20th Anniversary figure of Doomguy was this dumb little bobblehead, instead of this badass statue they could've sold of Q3 Doomguy.

I'd think he needs something silly in there kinda like what they did for Snake's cameo. Snake's down smash was to PACK C4 INTO THE GROUND. We could go places with him in Smash.

I already voted for Mike Jones, sorry.

Forward smash or back air is a rocket launcher. Use it on a wall and you'll send the Doom guy comically flying horizontally, probably giving himself a giant hurtbox until he recovers.

Final Smash causes the stage to rain super shotguns which are picked up upon collision, making it basically OS DM. Though befitting of a Final Smash, only the Doom guy benefits from having the super shotgun; it screws up everyone else, probably because they try to use it like the beam saber or fan and get the damage of the latter while the speed of the former.

I'm planning on doing a SSB fangame, and Doomguy will definitely be in it.

Before you ask... no, he will not use any Brutal Doom-related attacks.
