Hey.. is this some kind of trick? when I was on this page earlier it was white, now it's blue & black, does the picture automatically change? :trippy:

Ok so I copied the blue one into paint and i'm waiting for it to turn white again so I can copy and paste it next to each other and debunk it.. and i've been waiting 1 hour so far.. turn white damn it!!

No, this has nothing to do with a girl and I'm not taking anyone out for prom. Yes, it's a stupid internet thing that blew up yesterday. I'm posting it here because I want to see what colour you all are seeing. I'm glad to see that a lot of people here are seeing it as white and gold. I know the real dress is black and blue and they never made a white and gold version but I am annoyed that I am NOT seeing it as black and blue in the image in the OP. No matter how I look at it, it's white and gold. Maybe it has a blue-ish tint like somebody messed up the hue filter but it's definitely white and gold. No way in fuck does the gold section register as black to me. AT ALL.

If you think any of those colors are black or blue (besides the >white<-with-a-blue-tint #a4b7e1 & #7f87ac) then you're either dead wrong or you're viewing the image from the bottom up very close to an LCD monitor with poor contrast/angle quality. (Which I can't remember the term for!)

Using colour pickers and drawing blobs on an empty canvas, you would clearly get a brown-ey colour (gold) and a blue-ish white colour (white). That much I know.

I still fail to understand how some people immediately registered them as black and blue (and I'm not talking about the bandwagoning hipsters, I mean the legit earlier crowd).

My best guess would be that they know the dress and registered the huge overexposure and then remembered that the dress is supposed to be black and blue.
Because I can't see any other way you would see it as black and blue unless you know how the actual dress looks.

This entire thread has made me WTF so many times over it's like a whole month of DailyWTFs in a row. I think it's even making my Google Drive crash. Or not.

The dress looks BETTER as gold and white even though it's not that great of a design to begin with, so all I can hope is the original dressmaker is aware of the meme now and makes a white and gold version.

Agreed. Something about the stripes is really bothering the part of my brain that likes perfect patterns.
