Apparently "because I am old, my vision is less sensitive bla bla which is why I'm seeing it as white gold" and that irks me.

It looks like white and gold stripped with a lighting oddity giving it a blue tint.

It's a white dress with a somewhat dark yellow ("gold") lining that has a blue tint because of the bright blue sky above it.

and yes, my vision is very good - so if someone says the dress is not what i just said then it is them who have issues, not us

It's Red-Green-Blue. If you look very closely at your monitor, you can see it.

Looks like it's a new internet meme.

Supposedly the overexposure is what turned the black into gold and the blue into white. My first thought was that it was a novelty dress made out of photochromic material so that it changes color depending on lighting.

Well yes, it might actually be black and blue, but that doesn't change it from the fact that it's white and gold in the first picture.
Because it is undeniably white and gold in the picture where it is asked what color it is.

And anyone saying otherwise is just playing a stupid prank on you.

:?

I don't know if it's telling of me or telling of every freakin' one else that I can automatically tell the dress is blue and black despite the crappy lighting.
